He is still a practicing primary care doctor and has built and co-lead a 510 physician medical group, been the chief medical officer of 3 broker/consultants, and now is building an activation company based upon the proven Whole Person Risk ScoreTM. The result of this career is the ability to create systems of care at the corporation or medical group level that lowers the costs and suffering for those receiving care. As the medical consultant of 7-Eleven, Varsity Brands, DART, Hydro-Gear, Western Alliance Bank, Dillards, and many other companies, and the leader of the onsite clinic at Vistra Energy he has a unique perspective and ability to see and advise to add years to the life, and life to the years of members - reducing costs and improving the culture and enthusiasm of those being served.

Michael Tuggy, MD

Michael Tuggy, MD is a Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and a rural family physician in Winthrop, Washington. He served for 7 years on active duty in the US Army including service in Iraq and Kuwait during the first Gulf War. After his military service he became the director of Swedish Family Medicine Residency in Seattle and pursued leadership positions within the education sector of family medicine in the US. While the president of Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors, he joined other leaders in family medicine to develop the strategic plan for family medicine nationally serving as the Vice Chair of Family Medicine for America’s Health. As part of that strategic initiative, he joined the Primary Care Innovators Network and Converging Health which is focused on transformative payment and practice models of primary care to achieve better health care at lower cost. He now consults with health systems and corporations to improve their primary care practice and engagement to improve health outcomes and lower cost of care.
